    Been looking around and can't really find a clear answer on storage limits. I got a xbox 360 4gb earlier this year 2015 for my son bought new and lastest model. Would like to know the max memory for a thumb drive I can add. I keep seeing 32gb is the limit.
    Is this also correct for an external hard drive?

    Hi all, just wondering what options i have regarding storage. I have only got a 20GB HDD and tbh its getting rather stacked now. I do have another XBOX also with a 20GB HDD is there any way I can use that in addition to the one I already have connected,
    is there a special cable I can buy or something? Any suggestions would be welcomed. Oh by the way im running an older type XBOX if that makes a difference. Cheers in advance.

    [/quote] You could swap over the hard drives as and when you needed too, but you would need to recover the Gamertag everytime you do. Or store your profile on a USB stick like i do. Also you can use USB sticks for extra memory space (upto 16GB per stick,
    maximum of 2 at a time)

    That was correct until about a month ago. They recently released an update that raised the limit to 2TB.

    Google has a different answer the Kingston has max for storage is 1T

    No. But USB 3.0 is backwards compatible so it can still work in a 2.0 slot.

    You can use an external storage device for backwards compatible content and to store Series X games, but the Series X games will only run off the internal drive or the expansion card.
