    Storage Limit on Saved/Edited Clips Increased with the Xbox One's November Update? Upload ...


    Previously, storage limits are estimated at 100 minutes of gameplay allowed for saved / edited clips.

    Obviously uploading them to the cloud for retrieval is the safe way to go.

    I'm going to max mine out and see what happens.

    I would love to leave up even more edited showcase gameplay montages.

    Can anyone illuminate the situation?

    Upload Storage Limit

    Well, I have officially confirmed that there IS a limit to how much you can save to the cloud with clips in the Upload app. I have nearly 100 saved clips and apparently, there's a new "doughnut" chart in the bottom left of the "my clips section" that's telling
    me that I've used up 92%. It makes me wonder what will happen when I reach the 100% limit. What's your take on this?

    What is with these Xbox Live storage limits?

    I started getting errors after recording a game clip that pops up and says it failed to upload my clip to Xbox Live. When I go to Upload Studio, it shows that my Xbox Live storage is at 99% full. What gives? I went on a support chat with MS and asked what
    the limit was. They said 512MB! This was the storage limit for 360!

    In July 2013, Microsoft released the following statement:

    Xbox Live offers Xbox One unlimited storage space in the cloud for all Xbox Live members to store numerous types of Xbox Live content, including your profile, games, Achievements and entertainment. This content is stored and saved in the cloud so you can
    automatically access it anywhere, anytime, no matter where you are.

    Furthermore, in 2015, Major Nelson posted this blog, stating that they were upping the limit for 360 users from 512MB to 2GB:

    Why on earth would 360 have more storage than Xbox One? Especially when they know people store saved game data, game DVR footage, etc.? The solution offered by the tech was for me to go delete clips.

    I would even consider buying more storage if it was offered. 512MB is a joke for a brand new console. I have over 4GB free in OneDrive. Why can't they just merge the storage limit the way Google has?

    cloud storage space

    You get unlimited cloud storage for game saves, game clips, your profile, ect. Please note your OneDrive is not the same cloud storage that your Xbox One uses for game content and your profile. You OneDrive is used to save clips you've edited in Upload Studio
    or storing any files you wish. You can check how much storage is left in your OneDrive by going to
    http://onedrive.live.com

    To sum it up OneDrive is used to upload game clips and store/share files and you have a limited amount of space (Unless you purchase more), and the separate Xbox One cloud storage saves your profile, game saves, ect and it has an unlimited amount of space.

    Hi there!

    Unfortunately you can only share gameplay clips on Xbox Live, OneDrive, or Twitter at this time directly from your Xbox. Uploading to YouTube from the Xbox is currently not available.

    You should be able to edit 4K clips in upload studio granted you have an Xbox One X. The only difference between 4K clips and normal clips is that 4K clips are limited to 30 seconds but editing them should all be the same.

    "While this is a convenient way to port your clips and screenshots to a PC, saving captures externally means you can’t edit them in Upload Studio or share them on Xbox Live, like clips captured directly
    to your Xbox."

    I don't think there will be any way around it. Sorry.

    Every clip that I have edited will not allow me to save it. If I upload a clip and I don't edited it I can save it. Have you edited a clip in Unload Studio and save it?

    Ridiculously low upload speeds and bitrates while renderring and uploading video on Upload Studio

    Just to agree with the OP about the video quality.

    I compared a recorded clip to the same clip after running it through upload studio, and the loss of quality is massive.

    Let`s hope this will be fixed/updated sometimes.

    Speaking of updates, I don`t understand why upload studio limits to 1/3/5 clips when editing.

    Why not just allow us to add a clip with a button-press, you can still limit the maximum time if that`s a concern.
