    Storage Issues


    Hey all, I've encountered an issue that I can't seem to solve.

    My hard drive claims that it's full but I know very well that it is not full nor is it close. To test this theory to be sure I didn't fill it by accident, I deleted a full 40GB game (Forza 5) from my hard drive - the storage bar still says that I have 0GB
    free. I also deleted Guacamelee - no change. I have no idea how to see my storage in the format that it was presented on the Xbox 360 if that is even possible to find what the issue is, nor am I able to access the hard drive due to it being internal.

    Xbox combined storage issue

    When you go into "My Games & Apps". Make sure you're highlighting in "Games", top left-hand column. D-pad right and at the top of the screen are 4 drop-down boxes. These are your 'Storage filters'. Select the 4th one and set it to "All Storage". -- That should fix your issue.

    ever since the april update, my xbox one's storage has been *** up. all of my saved data is gone (I.e. borderlands characters, nba 2k myplayers), anytime i try to open a game that I bought off of the marketplace like Minecraft or both assassin's creeds,
    they open but just immediately crash. I have tried a power cycle many times and a hard reset many times, dont want to try a factory reset yet because i feel like my files are still there somewhere. All my apps and accounts and everything are still saved fine
    so its like a portion of my hard drive was corrupted during the update and now my xbox cant read half of the *** on it. nobody else ive seen on the internet anywhere has had this problem so help would be appreciated

    You should try to do a "clear cache" and a reset of your machine.

    Just press the power button for 5-10 seconds until the console powers off.

    Let it sit for 30 seconds and turn it on again.

    Check the hd space.

    You can also try to clear persistent storage on configuration->blu ray->clear persistent storage.

    None of that worked. I caved and did a factory reset - I was trying to avoid doing that because my internet here in my dorm is awful and it was going to take an eternity and a half to redownload everything...

    At least it was a software issue and not an HDD failure.

    None of that worked. I caved and did a factory reset - I was trying to avoid doing that because my internet here in my dorm is awful and it was going to take an eternity and a half to redownload everything...

    At least it was a software issue and not an HDD failure.

    Try see if the NAT from your Network is all Open then try search by the games in App > Games then go in Ready to Install

    Fully uninstall and reinstall the Xbox app. If that doesn't help then see below;

    Programs and apps downloaded from the Microsoft Store are installed in the following path by default: C:/Program Files/WindowsApps (Hidden items). To check hidden items, open This PC, click View and select Hidden items.

    To take over the folder;

    - Here is the path you should follow: C:program Files.

    - Go to View and check the box next to Hidden items.

    - Locate the Windows Apps folder and right-click on it.

    - Select Properties from the drop-down menu.Select Security. Then select Advanced.

    - Go to Owner. There click Change.Enter Microsoft account email address.

    - Check the box next to ‘Replace owner on subcontainers and objects’.

    - Apply your changes.

    - Locate and click your account in the list. Click Edit.

    - Check the box next to Full Control.
