    Storage errors


    I just got a Xbox 360 4 gig I've connected external hard drive which is 250 gigs. i havent played any games on it. I want to play need for speed rivals put i start the game it wants to load and both internal and external storage say device not supported.
    if i go to system and look for storage the internal storage says 2.6 gig available and the external hard drive says 230 gig available. I did a software upgrade already. The external hard drive is a standard usb hard drive. pls can someone advise. thanks Claude

    Errors and lost storage

    Everything is taking to long to load so I can't do anything including singing in, sometimes home dosent start, and my 4 terabyte storage no longer works

    The game requires an Xbox hard drive due to the system files on the hard drive. So it's not a storage issue, it's the issue of not having an actual Xbox hard drive. The 4gb is internal flash memory and not a hard drive. Unfortunately, this is a requirement
    for some games.

    Storage Error

    Have you tried to take the hard drive out and put it back in, it's possible that it's a loose connection and just requires the XBOX 360 hard drive to be re-plugged in. Instructions on how to do just that >

    support.xbox.com/.../add-remove-hard-drive    . Let us know if that stops this error from occurring.

    Hey there, so are you referring to your internal storage as the free 3.2G? If so, that might be your issue, try formatting a USB to use as your storage device, you can always transfer on to a HDD later:

    support.xbox.com/.../usb-flash-drive
