Storage device not showing up (read description)

+ I have two USB thumb drives, when I plug these into the front USB ports, the lights flash on the drive and they show up in the storage devices listing; however, neither drive (one is 32GB the other is 2GB) lights up nor is recognized as storage

That error code could be a problem with your storage device. If your console still reaches the dashboard then go to settings/ system/ storage. How much free space does your storage device show ? If it's less than 200Mb then you'd need to delete something
to free up some space for the update.

If the device shows as unformatted there is a chance that formatting the storage device could get your xbox up and running again. If the storage device doesn't show at all or won't format then it's time to arrange a repair.

To format a storage device, go to settings/ system/ storage, highlight the storage device and press Y on the controller, you will see the format option. Select that option and follow the instructions on screen.

Hello again, the error code you're seeing now throws a whole other issue into the mix.

Error code C000-0034 occurs when you try to install an update from a storage device

Problem

You may see the following error code and message when you try to install an update to your Xbox 360 console from a storage device,

C000-0034

Can’t read the update from your storage device. Please reinsert it to continue the update.

If the problem persists, visit www.xbox.com/support

This may mean that there is a problem with your storage device.

If the console has a hard drive then try removing and refitting that, if it's the 4GB console then you may have to send the console in for repair, check to see if the storage device show as unformatted or isn't even showing up in the storage section on the
xbox.

I can't configure it because it is not showing up in the list of storage devices along with the original Xbox HDD and cloud storage.

Hey there Jano! What happens when you start up the game? Does it ask you to choose a storage device? Are the proper storage devices showing up? Do you get an error when selecting the storage device? Are other profiles having issues with loading saves? Does
