Can I unset and set my home Xbox as many times as I want as long as it's just on the same Xbox? While I am away I want to stop sharing my games and gold so my little brother will still have access to his games but not games like GTA, which is on my account.
I know you can only switch between multiple different Xboxes 3 times per year.

To be able to share games, downloadable content purchased, along with Xbox Live Gold sharing features, to anyone who sign in on your console, there has to be at least one account tied to a Gold subscription and the console has to be set as the designated
Home console

Since you are able to take advantage of the Gold sharing features on your oldest brother's Xbox One console, this would then mean that he has a Gold subscription and with his console set at Home.

According to your profile, it doesn't seem to be tied to Gold subscription.

The limit of changing your home console is three times a year as you mentioned, this limit holds true to linking and unlinking your account from a single Xbox One.

Thanks for the help. Would you have suggestions on how to stop people having access to the games/gold associated with my account with out impeding other peoples ability to play on my Xbox? also sometimes while i'm away other people other than my brother
want to play on my Xbox (with there own accounts with gold and there own games) so if I just put a lock on the whole thing for M games they'll get p***ed off. Thanks again for the help.

Does your brother by chance have a child account? You can set up Privacy and Account Settings to prevent him from playing M rated titles if one of the accounts on the console are it's parent account. For information on setting that up

Yes content sharing is a feature provided the account doing the sharing is set as your home console (which happens if it was the first account on the console during setup.)

I dont know if it's a full fix, but you can remove the tag of 'home xbox' in the settings, this may stop the ability to share content.

There's a limit to stop people abusing the home console feature.

The home console feature is meant for households with more than one xbox,it's not for sharing with your friends which can get you into trouble.

5 switches per 12 months is more than enough unless you are abusing the feature.

You used to only get 3 switches per 12 months.
