Stopped reading the disc for online play what to do

Try clearing the cache on your console for by pressing the power button on your console for 10 seconds. Retry afterwards.

What I am saying is that I have the game installed and it STILL reads from the disc WHILE I AM PLAYING. Every other game I've EVER installed only reads the disc when the game starts and then it stops reading the disc and streams from the HDD. BF3 does
not do this.

I just started having this issue too Worked imaculately since launch day. Last night, Forza wouldn't show in the "disc" tile. SO i took it out and put it back in, and now hear a grinding noise. So i have to try putting it in a couple times before it loads,
and every once in a while i hear a grind.

While not an official method of repair, I had this same issue, and found a video on YouTube where its mentioned that the grinding is due to a misaligned gear on the bluray drive...to remedy it, all i had to do was unplug everything, turn the console over
and slap the underside of the bluray drive...this located the gear again and I've had no trouble since

What security software do you have running?

I know game is digital, but I've read on online that these discs request are issues with Firewalls/security software.
