Stopped connecting to my wireless network

Last night while playing Destiny my Xbox One (purchased 2 weeks ago) disconnected from my wireless network, and I can't get it to reconnect. The console wants me to select the network and enter my wireless password (which I've done several times), but
it won't accept the wifi password. I power cycled my router and AirPort Extreme. I power cycled the Xbox. I opened my wifi settings and re-setup my password. The Xbox still won't accept the password and connect. None of the other wireless devices in my house
are having problems connecting (or staying connected) to the network. Help.

If you are wireless can you also state whether you are using the white or black external adapter or the Xbox 360S Internal adapter

When you choose WPA2 can you ensure you choose AES as the Cipher and NOT TKIP. If that still doesn't work please check the Azurewave website for an update to your router firmware

 

This bug has existed since February.

Destiny breaks the wifi adaptor,

No need to reboot router.

Restarting the console should be all that is needed but if that doesn't work you need to go to the advanced network settings in the xbox one the clear alternate mac address. After doing this the console will restart.

It should hopefully accept your password after that.

I have no idea if and when this bug will ever get fixed as neither bungie or Microsoft has acknowleged it. Until then the only workaround is to use a wired connection.

 

Thank you! Had to clear the mac address to get it to forget my wireless so I could set it back up again.

 

I changed my SSID and password, and the Xbox One wouldn't accept the new SSID and password until I cleared MAC address and rebooted the Xbox One.
