Stop Xbox One from updating games

How can I make my Xbox One stop updating Forza 5 (or any game), but still keep it connected to the internet.

Every time I connect it to the internet it tries to update the game, and it is 14GB. We only get 50GB of internet per month, and until I can use unlimited internet somewhere else I can't update it.

Is there any solution other than keeping it disconnected?

I have tried the solution listed here: Pause or cancel an Xbox One installation | Cancel Xbox One installation

but there is no "Cancel Instillation" only pause

Stop Games from Updating

The update was 9 GB according to sources. Your data cap is only 12 GB a month?! That's horrible. Time to switch ISP's.

Stop Games from Updating

The system is designed to check for updates upon launch of a game. The only feasible way I can see to stop that would be to temporarily disconnect your Xbox from the internet whilst a game launches. This would obviously prevent you from playing 'online'
but the system is there to ensure all online players have the same version/patches applied...

Go into settings>Power and Startup and uncheck automatically install updates.

Also another part of the problem is when he tries to start the game, it wants to update, and if you don't do the update it signs out out of xbox live.

I don't think there's really any way around that one.

Unfortunately there isn't. If you wanna play games online you have no choice but to update them.

StevieGee911 there was a day one update to the game. They patched the game plus add a achievement and reduesed some GS on a few achievements. I hope clear up the update part. But the thing is. You never will stop the update from downloading at this time
from a digital download. Only way is to stop from downloading the update. If you where doing it from disk.

I live in the woods. Satellite is my only option. Generally I get by, but the more control over timing I have, the better I can manage things. AND we have Windows 10 coming this month: oh, oh.
