Stop Xbox app from starting on windows 10

It auto starts and in full screen.

Any way to disable this without completely uninstalling the app?

right click task bar, click task manager, click startup tab, select xbox app and select disable, this will stop it starting with windows.

they are stopping the xbox companion from streaming they have already stopped it in the companion app and moved it fully to xbox app on pc and i suspect windows 10 version too.

Please note that the xbox app can not be uninstalled from windows 10 in any way. You can remove it (technically still there) and reinstall it with some commands in powershell but you can't remove it all the way as it's connected to many different windows
10 services and systems.

The most you can do is stop some services from starting but that will affect some windows store games and will prevent them from working most likely.

This may be an obvious question, but have you re-installed this game yet? Uninstall and then re-install the game from the Microsoft Store.
