Stop scalpers and make your loyal customers happy

What is so hard about offering new consoles to the people who have actual Microsoft accounts. You could easily stop the scalpers and Walmart employees from selling them on Walmarts website for twice, even three times the price. Start with the oldest accounts having first dibs one per customer. You talk about community, seems like Microsoft could care less about it. People who don’t contribute to the community are buying them up to make an extra profit. This problem could easily be fixed.

because in most countries if its on sale then it has to be available to all, by law. also microsoft cannot dictate to retail stores how and when to sell them. microsoft cannot afford to alienate retails outlets as they are needed to sell units.

scalpers are a small part of the issue, normal people are chancing it and buying multiple to get a bit of profit, also the chip shortage means less unit available.

lots of products are in short supply globally.

‘Thanks’ for the info on the console is available at Walmart! It’s being sold through them by scalpers for about $1K!!! NOT doing it. We’re past the point of COVID excuses , the scalpers have plenty of inventory! Stop feeding the scalpers and sell to your customer base! I won’t be buying one for more than the suggested retail of ~$500.00! Im done waiting and searching for rumored online release dates only to be wiped by scalpers in minutes !!!

They are rewarding loyal customers. They never said all loyal customers did they. It is a random bunch of Xbox fans. By the way all customers get called loyal customers by every company these days. It is 2013 most companies stopped calling us idiots and
started sucking up last century you know. When was the last time you called a company and sat in a Que without getting told repeatedly, by a recording how valuable your call is?

Scalpers are opportunistic **** that Microsoft is enabling by selling small quantities at a time to retailers. Microsoft is losing customers but gaining scalpers. Great business model. Maybe Apple should start making a gaming system. I hope you are reading this on your Microsoft phone. I have enjoyed this chat. I guess I will wait till next year to buy the new system the new games and Xbox live.
