Stolen Xbox

    My xbox one and xbox 360 were stolen the other day. Xbox live support states that I can track my Xbox's IP address from my account at Microsoft.com. I have reset my xbox login password and everything though. Will it still show whether or not someone is
    logging into that Xbox even if they are using a new profile? Do they need to hack my account on that xbox for the IP address to show up on my Microsoft.com, "recent activity?" I want to track the IP address so that I can find these thieves and get my xbox
    back!

    It seems to me that it will only show up on my recent activity, when I personally sign in under my profile. But if they stole it they will most certainly have to create a new profile. Not trying to be redundant.

    Any advice?

    If your console was stolen you need to be more concerned than your “home” console.

    The police will sort out recovering your stolen XBox.

    Your insurance should sort out replacing your stolen XBox.

    If someone logs into your account you can see their IP address. That said, you cannot track the Xbox itself. Resetting your password was for sure the best first move. If you want to check your recent activity go to
    https://account.microsoft.com then click Security and privacy, then click See my recent activity. If you think your account may have been compromised I recommend following

    Thanks! Law enforcement and Xbox were able to track the location of his stolen console. They recovered the majority of items that were stolen including his Xbox 360 :)
