    My XBOX was stole in a burglary.

    Is it possible to block usage using the serial number of the device (I have changed passwords, blocked bank cards, etc. - my wallent was also stolen)

    Hello, sorry the console cant be blocked. It doesnt have that feature on it.

    IP address will not help, there is no way to actually track it, unless microsoft block the serial number, but then they won't do that or everyone would try blocking everyone else if they have a serial number.

    you could contact support and state the console has been stolen and also change your password.

    Paul from the Xbox Forums Team here to assist with the issue, it looks like the questions is if it's possible to block the console from online play. I'm truly sorry to hear that you're console was stolen. Unfortunately there is no way for us to block the
    console using the serial number. What I recommend doing is alerting the local authorities and providing them with the serial number in case one get's turned in or found. Here is an article on

    If you know the serial number to the console tell Xbox Support? I know with telecommunication companies they have phones/smart phones and can limit usage of lost/stolen phone. Since Xbox 1 is next gen, there might be a way. I'm sure M collects data on when
    the console logs onto Xbox Live. While they may not be able to pin point the address it's located in they should be able to send a Dashboard instruction to the console to brick. If M hasn't thought about this I think they should. If telecommunication companies
    can brick/limit usage on lost/stolen phones then it would be a good idea for Xbox 1 to be able to. I think the serial number of your console might also be located on the original package box it came with (not completely sure about this).

    How to get a free xbox1s 1 terabyte mine was stolelen.

    If you have the serial number of the console you can contact support and let them block the console from being able to connect to Xbox Live. Making the console a brick basically.

    Other than that Microsoft/Xbox will unfortunately not be able to replace a stolen Xbox.
