Still unable to switch Microsoft Acct associated w/ gamertag

After dozens of attempts, phone calls, and emails, I am still unable to change Microsoft Account associated with gamertag. It is rather comical at this point. First, I signed into xbox.com on my preferred e-mail, which automatically and without warning associated
this gamertag () to it. So that same day I created a bogus third e-mail to try and get everything ready for a switch. After waiting well over 30 days, I am still unable to transfer away from my preferred email so that it would be free
to switch my preferred gamertag to it. I received the error that there is something wrong with the X-Box Service this time around.

How Do I change the email account that I use to login with?

Can you still access the gamertag on the xbox?

Hey, do you know if you have associated both of those gamertags with the one email? If so you might want to switch the email associated to whatever account you can still sign into the xbox with.

Hey there, I've seen many others come across this same issue and I think what may have helped is downloading the gamertag to a console and then waiting the 30 day period. Can you confirm that the gamertags has been downloaded the console?

The gamertag has not been moved within the last 30 days. This includes new gamertags downloaded from Xbox Live. If you try to move a gamertag before 30 days have passed since the last time you moved it, you’ll get the error “Sorry, we can't change your Microsoft
account right now.”

The Gamertag has been downloaded to the console for over 30 days, yes. The gamertag has also never been moved.

You can update and change the e-mail address associated with your acct/gamertag by going to live.com I believe.

Passwords and security features can be changed, and if I remember correctly, there is a 30-day pending period your acct goes through to verify it is you making the changes.

I had to deal with that upon returning to live last Winter.

You'd only be essentially "adding" a new e-mail address, not so much swapping everything over to a new MS acct.

Kind of like ADDING a different payment method to make purchases.

Whereas switching and controlling from a totally separate Microsoft acct with no or different gamertag associated, I don't think is possible.

you can't, the xbox account IS the microsoft account, he will need to start over, you could have created a child account when he first started gaming.

there is no way to transfer anything.

as long as your husbands account is set as home then he can access all the content from a new account, but name, cheevos and all stats will not transfer.
