Still no usb playback?....wtf?

When we getting usb playback then?....this system that is suppose to replace all my devices can't do ***!...blu ray lip sync is shocking...cannot play a simple media file from USB....kinect don't recognise children's voices.....what an absolute let down

Bluray play is great from what I can tell. I too would love to play 1080p .mkv files from usb stick as pretty much everything around the house tends to do this except the Xbox at the moment.

 

Lip syncing problem? the only time I have had lip syncing problems was when I took my Xbox One over to show a friend of mine, but that was because I had the Blu Ray settings set to 24hz, and his TV cant do 24hz, but that was easily fixed by just turning
off the 24hz setting.

Possibly that's the problem your having? not all TV's can do 24hz.

 

M$ are never going to let you play .mkv files - know that. OP they've already confirmed USB will be supported in a future update, there's other stuff at the forefront at the moment - namely the backward party / friends system.

 

Seeing as I can't play any of the hundreds of mp3 files I have amassed over the years as an avid music fan or stream any of my video files like I could so easily do with the 360. I have convinced several of my friends to steer well clear of the Xbox one.
I feel truly ripped off, (the only box you'll need under your TV, don't make me laugh)

I had an xbox, Xbox 360 and bought literally hundreds of new games over the years. But now Microsoft's greed has turned me off. To be expected to pay a monthly fee to listen to music I already own is a disgrace. If PS4 enables USB or dnla music streaming
before Microsoft my machine will be on eBay and Sony will get my gaming money over the next generation.

Greedy Microsoft losing hundreds in gaming and add on revenue over such a simple feature. Idiots

 

Ya its beyond me how this "all in one device" is suppose to be next gen when it cant even do the things last gen could do so easily. While I feel your pain...there is a program called "bubble upnp" on your smart phone that will allow you to stream content
from NAS devices and computers to your xbox one, other then that I think MS is trying to leave us movie collectors in the dark...just because we opt to keep our movie files we buy on our hard drive to backup/safe keeping, doesnt mean we should be overlooked...but
we have been it seems.
