    Still having audio issues


    I have been struggling to find a solution to the distorted audio on my xbox one for a few days now. Again this is not an issue with my headset nor the controller. I just checked the audio settings of my brother’s console and we have the exact same settings.
    However my headset has distorted audio when used with my console vs his. I have switched out HDMI cables to see if that helped but it made no difference. I have power cycled, hard reset, and factory reset while keeping games & apps and this problem is still
    here. Not sure if there are some internal problems with my console but that seems unlikely as I only touch it to turn it on. Im using the windows sonic audio (stereo uncompressed still sounds weird) as I always have for years yet only a few days ago this became
    a problem. I am just out of luck and need to fix the console or are there other things I can try to do to fix this problem? I’d appreciate any sort of tips or help.

    Recieved replacement console but still have Audio Issues

    I've used both an optical lead and also HDMI on one through the tv and also through external speakers. Both still have the issue. I've also tried different HDMI leads with no luck. Seems to be a very odd persistent fault.

    Yeah I thought it was just forza but it dies it on boot up of peggle 2 and also once or twice in the Lego game.

    I don't have this issue. Seeing this is your second console, I would start looking at other possibilities. Are you using the HDMI or S/PDIF for sound? Are your speakers wireless and you getting interference on the 2.4Ghz wireless?

    I have this issue in Forza 5 as well. I think it became less disruptive after I changed from Xbone sound settings from "Automatic" to "HDMI" out only. But there is still a electric crackling noise there every 10-20 seconds or so. I use HDMI from console
    to TV and from there an optical cable.

    maybe its your audio equipment? I know on forza it will sometimes make a quick crackle sound but only on that game so im sure its the game itself.
