Still have Xbox Live Cards to Use

During Christmas time I happened to receive 2 Xbox Live cards one for 3 Months and the other for 6 Months. I dont need them yet but they are still good until sometime at the end of 2018. What will happen to to them, can I still use them when the time is
needed or will they go to waste and I wont be able to use them anymore. What will happen for the people who still have Xbox Live cards to use.

My friend purchased a $15 Xbox card for me because my Xbox Live ran out, but I can't use it to purchase Xbox Live. Do I have to use an Xbox Live card/Credit card in order to purchase Xbox Live?

If they don't have an expiration date on them, then they should still be fine and you can use them. Although you can add up to 36 months of gold at a time so if you're worried about them expiring, you could go ahead and use them now and they'll just extend
your time.

I do have proof. I have an old Xbox Live Gold Card and I used my debit card on the account.

I told the customer service reps this and they STILL refused to help me.

What if you dont use paypal and are using a debit card instead, does this issue still apply to those who are using a debit card to pay for Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold?

As far as i know you can't use points/currency cards to buy xbox live gold,you have to use a credit/debit card,paypal or a xbox live subscription card.
