Still cant connect to Xbox Live

Microsoft says Live is working again but I cant connect. The right side of my screen says "Connect to Xbox Live" but when I click it it just makes a beep and does nothing else. My Xbox is connected to the internet and it was working just fine last night.
Am I missing something else or is it actually still down?

ok so I got a new router from twc yesterday, hooked it up and everythings fine, ive got an xbox 360 in the living room that's working great but my sons xbox 1 down in the basement cant connect to xbox live, I done the test connection down there and it said it was connected but he still cant get on xbox live, everything is hooked up just like before

Try doing a hard reset on your console. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.
Once it is back up and operational test for results.

If that doesn't work try logging out of your profile and logging back in.

Ive done all this many times myself. The problem persists. Just look at all the posts on this one forum. There is a clear problem with the service right now that only Microsoft can fix before they lose a lot of patrons.

If anyone can help. The hard reset doesn't work.

When I turn on the Xbox One it looks as if it simply does not have an internet connection, or it's in offline mode. I have ran every test and troubleshoot everything and everything checks out fine. My Xbox One is telling me "It's all good" but nothing will
launch unless in "Offline Mode" meaning Netflix/Hulu/youtube/Amazon etc. will not launch at all.

It's okay if my subscription to Xbox Live doesn't work ALL the time, but then why am I paying an annual fee for it when it's so unpredictable. Someone isn't holding up their end of the bargain if you ask me.

 

Try this and see if it gets you back online .....

go into settings and accounts and remove all the profiles , (make sure you have the email and password to get them back ) after you remove the profiles , shut the xbox down by holding the xbox logo on the console for 8 seconds till it powers down , while
it is off , unplug your modem and router for 30 seconds to clear them also , plug the modem and router back up and when they are online , turn the xbox back on , when it is all the way up . re add your main profile ...it may sit there and sync a little while
but all SHOULD be good afterwards ...

 

I fixed this problem by SIGNING OUT. As soon as I did, the "Connect to Xbox Live" pane disappeared and was replaced with ads! Sign back in, and all services work.

 

signing out and back in will work sometimes , other times you have to do what I listed above and remove the profile , shut everything down , then re add it...

 

Got the problem again. Sign out didn't fix it. Happening to 2 XBox One consoles connected to the same internet connection (with two different gamertags). Held power button for 8 seconds to turn off one console, turned back on, and the problem persisted.
Deleted all profiles from that console, held power for 8 seconds, reset internet connection. Attempt to "add an account" does not work - after a long wait, I get this:

There was a problem, and we couldn't continue. (0x80a40019)

Searching this error is unhelpful. I am now unable to play XBox games.
