I've had a big desire to get rid of the old ps3, but because of the dlna problem I can't. The wife refuses to have to go to a second system to get our digital videos to stream to the one. It's backwards and a ridiculous option. Until we can access dlna
straight from the console, this will remain a second rate entertainment system. I'm glad to see the gaming improvements, but dlna isnt exactly rocket science. I'd hate to see Sony beat you to the punch and force a switch. I like the xbone....but not loyally
enough to stick when others have better options.

    :)

    DLNA support

Ok thanks, but I don't want to keep a computer online only for playing the Divx.

I would like the full DLNA.

Do you a place where I can ask all evolutions or miss things ?

Setup a Plex server and stream all content to the Xbox One, easy. That's what i do. I use my tablet for this, could use my phone too.

I used to think like this....then I found a cheap video player that outclasses anything that Microsoft or Sony has put out in the past and will put out in the future. My player is easy to use, has access to my 12TB of video and music via LAN, all from the
touch of a few buttons on my Harmony remote. I use a WD Live Hub. It plays nearly every video format out there (something neither "game console" has ever been able to do well) .mkv, .wmv, .mp4, .avi, .mov, mpeg1, mpeg2 and most importantly (to me) .iso. All
are organized and include thumbnails and movie synopsis data.

I think they want to just be able to things from the console like the 360. Everything you guys are suggesting is using the computer to stream to the Xbox so, it wont help unless they give in and use the computer.

  7. you can use your smart phone to stream from you NAS storage or home PC...download a program called "bubble UPNP" then your smart phone works like a remote....select video from library to play...select xbox one as the playback device...wala...instant streaming.

I use Plex for my PS3 and Roku player. How do you set it up for the Xbox One?

Still waiting for full DLNA support here as well, all these "Download this, do this blah blah blah", NO, it's a 500.00 piece of equipment that is SUPPOSED to be a ONE STOP Entertainment console (And failing). It needs to have the same functionality as the
    360 at MINIMUM.

Til it does I recommend that nobody buy it. Microsoft has did a 180 on EVERYTHING they originally stated about this device because they learned they could not dictate what people wanted. From the way they were doing games to the spying into your living
room of the Kinect device. They need to remove their heads from their posteriors and fix this DLNA issue as well.

^^Haha you want your xbox one to just magically find your pirated content? Even when DLNA is enabled and you upload everything to a flash drive what would be the difference if you used OneDrive? On 360 I used Vuze alot and now I use Bubble uPNP. Its the
    same thing.
