    Sticky Y button.


    So my 1.5 mo. old, circa 100 hr. usage Xbox One controller has issues. So I got it with the Xbox One, (AC, no Kinect bundle), and the Y button seems sticky. When I leave it sitting for 10 or more minutes, the Y button seems stick and not very springy
    for maybe 15 clicks. Now I have no idea how it got this way and if it is just sticky or if this is a spring issue. So...



    1. Can I fix this? If so, how?



    2. Can I change it with the warranty or exchange it in a store for a new one, money, a game, or a gift card? Or can I keep it or just sell it on like Craigslist or something? Thanks, any help and replies will be much appreciated.

    controller buttons sticking

    anyone else had any issues with sticky buttons on their day on edition controller?
    my "Y" button is getting worse and worse and sticking quite badly now. the other 3 buttons all make a nice click but the Y button feels like it is being pressed into mud.

    I have noticed my buttons on my controller are becoming sticky. ie when i press X i can feel it getting stuck down a little bit.

    Is there anyuthing i can do to clean them without breaking my controller or voiding the warrenty?

    This may sound a little too much , but wash your hands before you are going to play on your xbox. I do that all the time and my controller still feels the same as when i took it out of the package.

    my controller had sticky buttons and also the joystick was not working properly. the way I fixed it was to take it apart with a

    T-8H screwdriver. the get the the screws on the bottom was to take a flat head screwdriver and knock out the pin. also make sure you get the T-8H and not the T-8.the H has a hole in it to fit the pin

    I think the best thing Ive come to find, is keeping your hands clean the best you can, and on occasion I use the AirCans, to just blow air over the controller. This can then help you to keep it clean. Even taking a soft pad or something can help.
