Sticky analogs and controller turning off

Ok so recently i've bought the adapter for my controller to plug head sets in. now when i plug the device into my controller, it just turns off on me. Batteries are charged (Bought a new pack also) and same problem. when its not plugged in. i have no issues.
controller is updated. only fix i can find is hard reset. second problem is my analogs tend to move on their own, BUT they arent broken, or so it seems. it just happens at random and to stop it, I just take control over the stick again. very confused on what
to do here especially since my controllers are in really good condition. Note: problem happens with both of my controllers that i own. any advice ?

So, I just read this post which talks about the new controller:

I have 5 xbox 360 controller @ home. Why 5? Because 3 of them have the sticky syndrome, and most of the time I play 2 player games and need 2 controllers that actually work.

Yes, 3 of my controllers have developed the syndrome where if you hold left and release it slowly, it eventually ends up outside the deadzone and moves my character left even if i'm not touching the controller.

The Xbox One controller has an interesting "feature": "A reduced dead-zone".

WHAT? So you're telling me that the controller will get that syndrome FASTER???

Will the Xbox One feature a way to adjust the dead zone through the OS? I mean, I can do it on my PC (using XBOX controllers!), so why not on the Xbox itself?

Programmed obsolescence?

Yeah, it does suck. I feel your pain. I can't tell you how many times it's cut off during a match when running the second controller on wifi. I'm pretty sure if you plug the controller in though it won't shut off. That or you have to remember to move the
analog stick on the controller. I try to bump an analog stick after every match to make sure it doesn't turn off.

You can use rubbing alcohol and a cotton to clean your analog inside, just don't overuse it and turn off your controller before cleaning it.

As MasterYoda1007 said, you could take out the batteries of the controller and have it plugged in, which will stop it from turning off. Additionally, if you have a rubber band, what I used to do is put a rubber band around the left and right analog sticks so they were both facing towards each other, so the controller wouldn't turn off. Hope this helps!

Hi, some apps does not allow to keep the controller active forever beacuse the developers did not put in the app code to maintein the controller active... unfortunately the only way to keep the controller active is to move the analog stick or to connect
the controller with an usb cable.

Unfortunately there is not an option to turn off the battery saving of the controller inside xbox settings...
