Stereo headset randomly stopped working

My Stereo headset randomly stopped working last night. I was in a party with a few people, it was working fine, but at some point the mic just simply stopped working. I can still hear through the headset, but the mic won't pick anything up. Both of my controllers
are updated (I've tried both), console is up to date, I tried hard reset on the console, unplugging the power cord, waiting a few minutes and plugging it back in, deleting my account and redownloading it, deleting the alternate MAC address as I saw somebody
mention that as well.

I'm just confused as to why it'd be working then suddenly stop.

XBOne Stereo headset mic not working (all xbox mics unreliable)

This is so frustrating. My mom has bought me 3 headsets for my XBox to replace mics that stopped working before finally shelling out the big buck $60 for the XboxOne Stereo headset; hopefully to end the persistent problems with the mic breaking. Now
my mic on the XBoxOne Stereo headset just stopped working. None of the troubleshooting works to resolve the problem. I thought headsets with mics were simple technology, why can't Microsoft get right and durable enough to last. Or, is that the point...to
keep us pressuring our parents to buy these expensive headsets. Extremely Frustrated!!

 

Controller of headset problem?

Im having a similar issue. When using a headset with the xbox one stereo headset adapter, randomly i'll lose the functions on the headset adapter. Mute, volume, etc. Soo i figured it was just bad. I bought a Polk audio striker. They use their own stereo
headset adapter. Guess what.... Same thing. Randomly the functions of power, mute, volume, etc. will all randomly stop working... Soo i went and bought a 500X. Great sounding headset btw. But guess what? Same thing. I cant get it to work. No function
control. Note, the headsets work, but i have no control over them. I've tried powering the console down, unplugging it, re-assigning the headset... No luck. Please help.

 

I have the same issue.

I have a headset adapter and a pair of music headphones w in-line mic that I've used for months and the mic no longer works w the xbox one. Still works w phone, so it didn't break.

The headset adapter works w my 360 headset and the 2.5 to 3.5 adapter, so it's not the controller. All firmware is up to date. There was a console update, and the mic hasn't worked for party chat since then.

Can't figure out why it stopped working.

 

Same issue....... Where's a hotfix .... I want social gaming bk .. I did notice the pad flashed n shut off while full battery were in... I thought it lost connection as I walked to the bathroom upon turning on and reconnecting no mic I can hear I was in
a party at the time didn't drop my pad or mic but I cannot speak now pads updated so is console plz look at this issue ASAP lots off ppl have this problem either it's a bug or your product are cheap and prone to failure I plan on buying Sony NXT time

 

Yeah same issue with my headset as well and I contacted Xbox support and they said they will have they're audio director troubleshoot it and resolve it in about 30 min to an hour

 

same issue...which has cost me almost $100 now. Thought it was just my headset, got another headset no change. Only had one controller thought that was it, just bought new controller no change. Some of these games are almost impossible to play without a
headset and definitely not nearly as fun...I posted a few days ago on here and have got nothing back

 

So update for u guys .. Went on live chat about this prob and within 1 min was offered a replacement as a option which makes me think they know these chat headsets are prone to unexpected failure ... They took 30 mins to make sure everything was good my
end ie hard reboot update controller blah blah ... Didn't work so they too my serial number registered my console and sent me a UPS label to send in my headset for replacement ..so I'm quite happy. Can take 14 days so I will update u on actual time. No party's
till then for me :-( ... No response on this thread from Xbox .... Tut tut .

. + when I use a mobile headphones with mic in my wired pad why r those sliders to the left of. Home screen ... Uknow the ones for the mic monitoring + chat an game volume mixer . and main volume slider showing but do nothing n reset when u come off the
screen ..why do those show if they don't work so annoying having options u carnt use .. Anyone else have this or do ur sliders work? with a 3.5 Jack mobile type headphones with inline mic

 

Is their no type of mixer built in? .. Is this not something simple to impalement. in a System update ?? chat is unusable in game due to game audio overruling chat audio . plz fix this Xbox then I can chat with my mobile headphones till new headset gets
here.

 

my first headset (afterglow) I had those sliders but when I got the Microsoft headset I haven't seen them since.
