  1. Stereo Headset - No chat

I have a stereo headset adapter where only the sound works(both game and chat). I can hear everything fine but no one can hear me. I'm pretty sure it is the adapter because I have two sets of the Microsoft stereo headphones + adapter.

If I change headsets I still have the same problem.

If I switch the adapter into another controller still have the same problem.

If I use the same headset and control but switch adapters I can chat instantly.

Is there some there some setting to check or is it a faulty adapter? Any ideas?

    :)

  2. Television Audio Through Xbox One Headset

If you are talking about the Chat headset, that comes with Xbox One, then No. If you are talking about Stereo Headset, with an Stereo Headset Adapter. then Yes. Using the Stereo Headset Adapter give to both Chat and Game sound to the headset. If you TV,
is connected to the Xbox, your TV sound, will go to the headset.

Headset Adapter - Poor game audio quality / audio clipping / cutting out

SGT MacMillan, no. Don't post here attempting to answer questions you have no clue about. The Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter passes both game and chat audio to a 3.5mm stereo headset.

    Stereo Headset - No chat

    Hi Nemesis121804,

You have answered your own question.. "If I use the same headset and control but switch adapters I can chat instantly."

Return one of the headsets with the faulty adapter, and get them exchanged (if you need 2 sets).

  5. Unfortunately it took me a long while to notice the issue I was only using them for sound when I first got them and only started actually using the mic when Destiny came out, I don't even remember which store I got them from. I'll see about getting it replaced
with Microsoft or I might not worry about too much if it is too big of a hassle I still mostly just use them for sound. I was just hoping I had overlooked something simple, I'm prone to do that.

We cant find a microphone for these people.

What do you use for chatting: Xbox One Chat Headset, Stereo Headset, or a 3rd party headset?

    Xbox headset

    Hi zulubravo82,

What headset do you have? One of the Xbox Ambassadors asked if you had either a stereo headset or a chat headset?

In order to have the stereo sound the TV would output, you need a stereo headset that has two earpieces. A chat headset is only for chat and does not output the stereo audio, these usually just have one earpiece.

If you indeed have a stereo headset that plugs directly into the 3.5mm audio port on the controller, then your headset chat mixer may be set to 100% chat audio only. Open the Xbox menu and scroll to the far right under the System tab. Under Settings you
should see an Audio option. Select it and the middle slider is the headset chat mixer which should be in the middle for 50/50 game and chat audio.

The mic that came with the Xbox one works. My adapter chat button makes the game volume higher. Is it suppose to be like that?
