Stereo headset mic not working - serial no ??

Hi,

I bought a stereo headset for my son's xbox one a couple of months after buying the xbox one and the mic has stopped working, tried it out on a phone and earphones OK but no mic.

Went to the xbox support pages but before I can do anything they want a serial no. but whatever I enter (barcode number) is wrong, any suggestions on where I find the serial no.

Can't hear anyone on my XB1 Stereo Headset

Why is my regular mic working, but not my xb1 stereo headset? I can't hear anyone and they can't hear me.

xobx stereo headset adapter on PC

I have an older xbox one controller with no audio jack. I use it on a windows 10 PC. I purchased the stereo headset adapter however mic audio is not working. The PC sees both a headset and mic and I can hear audio through the headset. Mic audio seems as
if it's muted. I have tried multiple headsets, the controller was updated on my friends Xbox One but still get no audio. Chat rep said there's no mic audio at this time but it's coming soon? Is this true? Anyone else have an adapter and is it working normally?

You will want to contact a Live Service Agent and provide a copy of the receipt, to show it's warranty is valid. The warranty period is 90 days from date of purchase. If you're in the US or Canada the contact phone number is 1-800-4MY-XBOX. I'll post

It's actually called a PID or product ID. It should be a sticker with a bar code on the headset either near the mouth piece or on the earphones. Before contacting support please check if it's has 3.5 mm jack on it. You could also try to process a self service
replacement through http://myservice.xbox.com though you will have to register the console first using the serial number of the console and from there you can process a replacement for the headset though
going back to the topic the PID will be required if the headset was not purchased with the console or your console is no longer in warranty.

Xbox One Stereo headset

The mic that came with the Xbox one works. My adapter chat button makes the game volume higher. Is it suppose to be like that?

Our xbox one controllers stopped working with the stereo headset (just the mic) all simultaneously.

We tried plugging it into the 3.5 mm jack. None of my 3 controllers worked after having worked fine for months. All updated to latest firmware.

I tested the headset on my iphone and the mic was fine there- I could record voice memos with no problems

went to GameStop and spent $50 for the stereo headset adapter, and that allowed the mic to work again for another 30 days.

Now the mic is stuck on mute again, the headset adapter’s slashmark icon stays lit

I should also mention that my mic on the stereo headset also does not work anymore.
