    Stereo Headset Mic not working (2nd Headset)


    While playing Destiny today my Stereo Headset mic stopped working. Unplugging the adaptor and plugging back in worked for 2 seconds. Turning the controller on and off worked for 2 seconds, only to stop working almost immediately.

    I have Hard Reset the Xbox

    Removed the batteries from the controller

    Plugged in adaptor/headset to an alternate controller

    No success. Mic still does not work, however the wired one does. The issue is clearly with the adaptor/stereo headset.

    This is the 2nd stereo headset purchased. The first one had the same problem at around 1 month. This headset almost lasted 2 months. Both malfunctioned.

    I am a member of the preview dashboard update, however when clicking the link provided in the sticky thread it states "Group Not Found". So I am unable to post in the suggested location. I need this fixed and im definitely not spending another $80 on a headset
    that is just going to malfunction after a month.

    Xbox One Headset Adapter Problems

    I have a turtle beach px21 headset and purchased the xbox one headset adapter. The stereo sound is coming through really well, but the mic isn't working with it. Is this a known issue or is my headset mic not compatible with the xbox one?

    Why is my regular mic working, but not my xb1 stereo headset? I can't hear anyone and they can't hear me.

    The mic that came with the Xbox one works. My adapter chat button makes the game volume higher. Is it suppose to be like that?

    X Box One Controller is muted

    Our xbox one controllers stopped working with the stereo headset (just the mic) all simultaneously.

    We tried plugging it into the 3.5 mm jack. None of my 3 controllers worked after having worked fine for months. All updated to latest firmware.

    I tested the headset on my iphone and the mic was fine there- I could record voice memos with no problems

    went to GameStop and spent $50 for the stereo headset adapter, and that allowed the mic to work again for another 30 days.



    Now the mic is stuck on mute again, the headset adapter’s slashmark icon stays lit
