stereo headset issues

Discus and support stereo headset issues in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; i bought a set six months ago and the mic has being on and off now the mic and sound have deteriorated even more is any body else having the same issue...     Xbox One S and Official Stereo Headset Adapter not recognized

    Hi Zathrus,

    We have two of the
    Xbox Stereo Headset     with Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter, and both sets have worked well with no problems for sometime now. And I have used the
    adapter with non-Microsoft headset with no issues. So, given that you say your "3.5 mm cabled headset " works directly connected to the controller, then I regret to say it would seem that the fault lies with the adapter itself and may need to be replace.

    Converters for headset adapter

    I just purchased a stereo headset but the issue is that it does not have a converter cable to plug in to my system. Does anyone know of any converter so that I can use the headset?

    Sorry to hear about the controller issues! Is this issue happening with the Xbox One Stereo Headset that came with the console, or are you using a 3rd part headset with the Stereo Headset Adapter? If you are using a 3rd party headset, what is the brand and
    model of the headset? That will help us a lot! :)

    Sorry you're having issues with your stereo headset settings. Have you updated your controller’s software? If not click that link to update
    your controller. Also are you using an adapter or are you plugging in directly to the controller? See

    Hi Future,

    Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue. With third party headsets, there may be compatibility issues. As one is evident you are unable to adjust the volume. You could try a

    stereo headset adapter    , this plugs into the controller differently, then the headset will plug into them. The update you are showing is for the controller not the headsets. If they are wireless headsets you will want to get with the manufacturer on how
    to update the firmware of the headset.
