Stereo headset adapter wire and no compensation from support

So on November 12th I call Xbox concerning my 2.25 adapter wire for my stereo headset adapter. I made it very clear to the person I talked to that it was the wire that was messed up and he said that was fine and that my item was still in warranty and that
they would review my item and ship me out a replacement. He then proceeded to send me the shipping info and told me to send EVERYTHING that was in the box when I bought it. Okay I send everything out that same day. Fast forward to today Dec 1st I get my package
you could imagine my excitement. So I open the box and to my surprise it was fairly empty except for a small roll of bubble rap. So I unravel the roll and what do I get? Just the adapter plate for volume control. No wire at all, so at this point I'm instantly
frustrated. I then call Xbox a few hours later to get the issue resolved and what am I told? That they CANNOT replace my 2.25 wire converter ONLY the adapter plate. I'm then told that I would have to purchase a 3rd party wire from somewhere like Radioshack
or Amazon etc.. The problem here isn't be going to a third party store to buy one its the fact that if I was told that my item was in warranty and would be covered that's what I expect. Not to mention there was no offer for compensation at all for any of this,
I mean I waited 19 days for an item I was told was under warranty and would be replaced just yo find out that they don't replace the 1 piece I put the repair order in for in the first place.

Question about a pc headset and the stereo headset adapter

I have a friend who has a headset he uses on the pc. It has two wires coming out, a mic wire and the audio wire. I found an adapter that merges the two cables into one. If he was to use the Microsoft stereo headset adapter with his pc headset and the
2-1 adapter plugged in to the MS stereo headset adapter, would he be able to use the headset?

There aren't any at the moment. There has to be a wire between the controller (the stereo headset adapter) and headset, although there is no need for any cables between console and controller in order to support this.

 

While I understand your frustration, please call them back as the forums would not be the best place for a resolution. Make sure your going to use Official Chat or Call rather than chatting with an Ambassador.
