Stereo Headset Adapter sends screeching sounds to my friends, and my controllers disconnect periodically.

I opened up a Service Request, and sent them the note below with my XBOX.. it came back yesterday with a note saying "We received your Xbox console with a request for in warranty repair service. However, our support team has tested your console extensively
and has found no issues." So they returned it to me, untouched.

Start with replacing the wifi board.

That’s what the short of this thread at http://bit.ly/1wY7IsI on the Xbox Support forums discusses.

Do NOT send this console back without replacing/upgrading the wifi board, or whatever handles the RF signal to/from the controllers.. Do NOT send me a brand new or refurbed xbox console unit that does not already
    have that wifi board upgraded..

I did try a brand new xbox console at home, and I’m having the exact same issues.

    My issues:

All three xbox controllers will randomly disconnect for a few seconds.. My xbox console is about 15-20 ft directly in front of me below my projection screen.

My TWO stereo headset adapters both will intermittently blast loud noises towards my party members. I cannot hear the noise, but I end up having to hit my mute button to spare their ears. This goes on until I pull the adapter out and plug it back
in.. But that doesn’t guarantee it will stop.. It is a MAJOR problem.

I suspect the two issues may be related.. but I don’t know for sure. It happens on two different stereo headset adapters and three different controllers that are all up to date on firmwares..

I’ve also had this Xbox Chat issue mentioned on http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_support/xbox_one_support/f/4269/t/1904207.aspx

What is the recommended course of action to fix this problem? I have borrowed another brand new xbox while mine was off travelling through Mexico.. the other xbox has the same problems.

    :)

    Stereo Headset Adapter issues/compatability

Ya I updated both of my controllers.

I had the X41 on with the chat cord plugged into the headset, then the adapter cord, and finally to the stereo headset adapter. I was in a chat with friends and couldn't get the chat sound to work. I previously used my phone earphone buds with a mic and
    that seemed to work.

    XB1 stereo headset

    Hi all,

I am thinking of buying the xbox one stereo headset for my son.

I have a question. the stereo adapter that it comes with..... This is where I plug the 3.5mm headset cable into. Where does the game sounds come from? Are they wirelessly transmitted to the controller? (I doubt that but would be nice) or do I have to monkey around with RCA ouput cables from TV to adapter or something like that

Maybe I should have written that letter that was on my xbox in Spanish. It seems like they did not read it at all.

Moderators? We were asked to start or own thread. So why didn't I get any response?

New 3.5mm jack controller is pointless!

Old controller required the stereo headset adapter to work with my headset. ( was a friends stereo headset adapter) so I thought i'd buy the new type of controller so as to not also buy the stereo headset adapter.

    The new controller differences

    3.5mm jack which is pointless

and the bumpers feel slightly different, but that just may be because i'm now used to worn bumpers on my old controller.

    that's it

New headset with adaptor mic not working

If your Xbox one Controller doesn't work or gets disconnected after you plug in your Stereo Headset Adapter, unplug your adapter,
and then update your controller without the adapter. After the controller is updated, insert your Stereo Headset Adapter back into the controller.
