    Stereo Headset Adapter Jack Has Gone Wonky


    I bought the MS stereo headset in March of 2014. On November 11th, (yep, release day for Master Chief Collection) my mic stopped working. If I pull the headset jack out just a little, say, 1/8th inch, the mic will work, but the sound goes weird and sounds
    tinny. The bundled headset mic works fine when plugged into my controller. Can I get a replacement adapter? I figure 8 months is too long of a warranty, but I also figure a MS product should last longer before having to be replaced.

    If a regular controller are you using the stereo headset adapter? If so all the control settings are on it, not the guide.

    If an Elite controller are you using the stereo adapter or jacking your headset right in the 3.5 mm jack?

    if the headset has 2 jacks you will need to get a 3.5mm Stereo Splitter Audio to Mic & Headset Jack Plug Adapter that you can plug both into so you can then plug it into the controller.
