    Stereo Headset Adapter and Turtle Beach X12


    Hi, I just set up everything and updated the controller. I can hear the audio through my headset, but the miccrophone doesn't work? Like when im in a xbox live deathmatch, my microphone icon wont highlight to indicate its working. Please help

    first off can you let us know what headset it is e.g Turtle Beach X12

    also are you using the Xbox HDMI audio adapter

    You mean the 2.5mm cables? The one where I plug into my controller and the headset, right? Umm it has 2 black rings.

    Ahh, you need one with three! one for ground, one for left speaker, one for right, and one for Mic.

    I searched on google for 2.5mm male to 2.5mm male, but it doesn't seem like they exist....

    I know that's four, but the rings separate the contacts into four connections.

    If you go to an electrical store, just ask for a male to male 2.5mm 4-pole jack lead.

    Can you try to find me one online? I seriously can't find one. It's either 2.5mm to 3.5mm, or to a splitter or something.

    90% sure. I had a similar problem when I went and bought a cable similar to yours for my headset. If for some reason it doesn't, message me on live and we'll look into other solutions.

    Official Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter with earforce dss 2

    If your headphones are anything like mine (Turtle Beach X12) then the Optical cables goes from the Xbox One into the DSS2 your headset plugs into the DSS2 then the talkback cable goes into the headset adapter. Now make sure you turn down the game volume
    on the headset adapter as you want SS not Stereo. You should be ready to go after that.

    Your Turtle Beach X12 headset used an USB for power, and also has controls for sound levels. The Stereo Headset Adapter has only an 3.5 mm, 4 pole, Audio jack for phone plug. The adapter has Controls include volume up/down, microphone mute, and game/chat
    balance. I would say buy another headset, MS has one for 79.99 with adapter.
