    Stereo Adapter Issues after April's update, the solution


    Hello,

    Some players experiencing difficulties when they trying to update they controller with stereo adapter, the problem is the update process stops in the middle causing the stereo adapter to be muted, the mute button on the adapter is activated
    and you can't deactivated it.

    Solution:

    1- Hard reboot your xbox one

    2- disconnect your headset from your xbox one, and from the adapter, nothing connected to your xbox one just your controller

    3- make sure you connect you controller to xbox via cable, remove batteries, attach the stereo adapter

    4- turn on your xbox one, go to settings > system > update controller

    5- wait till the update is done

    Strange Headset Problems

    After the update, my Stereo Headset Adapter started having voice transmission issues. Receiving works fine, but no longer able to chat.

    Stereo Adapter Issues after April's update, the solution

    It didn't work... The stereo adaptor got messed up with the update and now every time I have it plugged into my controller while it is on, it goes into mute and freezes Stereo Adapter Issues after April's update, the solution :(.

    When you updated controller/adapter did you have headset plugged in as it needs to be for update to work

    "As of the April 2014 Xbox One System Update, the firmware update for the controller and stereo headset adapter has been updated and includes significant improvements to audio quality with the Stereo Headset Adapter and the process of updating controllers.
    If you have taken the update previously and are having issues with your stereo headset adapter, please update your controller again with the latest Controller Update. You can update your controller by going to Settings, System, and then Controller update."

    It is now April and still no update. So this means by the end of April?

    If your Xbox one Controller doesn't work or gets disconnected after you plug in your Stereo Headset Adapter, unplug your adapter,
    and then update your controller without the adapter. After the controller is updated, insert your Stereo Headset Adapter back into the controller.
