I second @StuartATrueRed's advice, make sure the wheel and console have the latest firmware installed.

Out of curiosity, what is the type of the steeringwheel you're trying to connect?

Same problem here. I’ve tried different steeringwheels and the all do the same. Games get stuck. Forza horizon 5 and also f1 2021 / 2022

Have you tried to contact the original manufacturer to see if they have replacement parts? Or try a local game store for the same purpose? Maybe even E-Bay?

He is probably talking about the original Xbox wireless Feedback wheel. You will have to go to E-bay or craigslist for spare parts or maybe a game shop ( like a mom and pop kind of one that sells retro games and might have it ...Better chanced then Gamestop).

Is this a controller or a steeringwheel?. I would have to ask to try using a usb cable for the xbox one controller to see if that helps get round this issue, Please also check on the game forums to see if it is a well known issue here is a link to the games
