hi can the logitech G920 steering wheel be used without the pedals asi have one leg and im wanting a steering wheel for the xbox one driving games thanks for any advice

 

I switch between Wheel and Controller, depending on my mood. I use the Thrustmaster TX wheel with the T3PA pedals and the TH8A shifter. The game is much easier though with the controller, since it's less technical and more arcade. Unlike Forza Motorsport,
Project Cars, of F1 etc, where the precision of a wheel can help you shave time off your laps, this game is more suited to the snappiness you get from a controller.

But any way, to answer your question, If you're looking at getting a wheel, just get the one that your budget allows for. There's no competition at any of the price points so if you can afford to go for a Fanatec with Clubsport pedals, then go for it. If
not, the Thrustmaster TX would be the next step down, followed by the Thrustmaster T150. Personally I would avoid the Logitech one as a friend of mine has one for his PC and it does grind a little.

Whatever you do through, you'll need to factor in a wheel stand or cockpit as none of them will work on your lap. For a wheel stand I'd recommend the GT Omega one. I had that and it works great. Cockpits, again whatever you can get for your budget. Unless
you have a suitable desk that you can clamp it to of course.

 

@SN1P3R SK33T thanks for the response. I found a good deal on a rectified Thrustmaster TMX Pro with the T3Pa pedals. (I wish I could afford the TX).

As far as a wheel stand, you must be a mind reader. I ordered the GT Omega wheel stand and like that it already comes with the shifter mounts. I hope to buy the shifter next month. Another nice thing is that it is easy to upgrade it with a matching seat
base for when I want to expand that way.

I have Forza 5 also and am going to try it out with that also. My fine motor skills with my fingers and thumbs are greatly decreased so the controller gets frustrating after a little while.
