Discus and support Steering wheel button mapping in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; No doubt this has been asked before but i cant find anything from microsoft, i also cant email them and have been directed to the forum.     No doubt this has been asked before but i cant find anything from microsoft, i also cant email them and have been directed to the forum.

    My question is, when are Microsoft going to support button mapping on steering wheels properly? Currently we have duplicate buttons and non functioning rotary dials rendering wheels pretty much useless.

    There was an update recently on Playstation further enhancing there already decent support so that wheels are properly supported, this meams that unless Microsoft have a change of policy i will moving over to PS5 for next gen, something i dont want to do
    but needs must.

    Not all steering wheel setups is compatible with Xbox. That might be the issue that you are experiencing.

    It’s not that the wheel is not compatable, it very much is and is recognised by the console, this is a well known issue with pretty much every wheel available, the more available buttons on the wheel the worse the issue as Microsoft only allow the standard
    controller buttons to be mapped (A, B, X, Y, RB, LB etc..) so where you have a wheel with more buttons and dials (like a high end Fanatec) they are rendered useless.

    I’ve been an Xbox supporter since day one but now I’m getting more and more in to sim racing this is a deal breaker, if it’s not going to be sorted I’ll move to the dark side where I can use my equipment properly.
