steep on CD won't open after downloading 100% xbox one

If you have on disc try this before getting to official support:

You saying that you have on disc, got similar problem on Forza and worked, so try follow this steps:

1) Uninstall the game

2) Install only the disc content before updating the game (This means that when you insert the disc, you will have 2 options, "install and update" or "update later", here you should do "update later" and only the content of disc will be installed)

3) When the installation is finished, eject the disc, then update the game without the disc on the xbox. (The update will appear on updates section and you can update him without a disc inside)

4) Let update the game before playing and see if fixed and let us know.

As said above I had that error on forza motorsport 7 (disc game), and did this steps and now works without problems. Maybe some update failed or downloaded corrupted data and crashes on startup.

BC is one area where xbox shines, we'll have to wait and see if OG games discs will 100% download after all these years, or if age has clouded them enough to be unreadable in certain areas of the game on newer optical drives. (yes, even well stored discs
will develope clouded spots, even music cd's over time.)

However, if the game dl's 100% from the net and not directly from the disc. You won't miss any of the action.

I never liked braggadocios, "Yeh me, I a have 20k GS" achievements or trophies anyway.

one little problem I had when trying too install destiny was that when I put the destiny cd in the xbox it did not register that it was in. so i had to switch to an other cd, start the game and press exit game. After that I had no problem with the 100% issue.

Well it wasn't just a Day One thing...... Hey Microsoft, are you guys trying to run away your loyal fans with pricing your console $100 higher and on top of it create a playing environment that is frustrating to no end with the excessivly long downloads
and the steep learning curb with the user interface? We love and support XBox One but come on..... really?!

You mentioned you purchased Game Pass Ultimate and wanted to install STEEP but cannot find it in the Xbox App. According to the game information page, STEEP cannot be downloaded to a PC as it is only compatible with the Xbox One and Series X/S. If you have an Xbox One or Series X/S you may download the game and play it on the console.
