    Steamworld Dig 2 fails to save - Xbox Game Pass PC


    I've just started to get fail to save message in the top left corner after playing for a few hours.

    Nothing I find online helps - in fact, I can't find where the game save files even are - they are not in My Documents like everything says they will be.

    I don't want to lose progress so will have to keep it running, but would very much like to get it fixed so I can carry on playing.

    Windows 11, game installed to SSD 4 days ago, played fine until today..

    I’m currently playing Hollow Knight, one of many
    Metroidvania games on Xbox     that recently joined Game Pass. I would highly recommend it, as well as Steamworld Dig 2, Ori and the Blind Forest, and the Guacamelee games. I’m hoping to play a few more games on this list in the near future as well!

    I've enjoyed so many games this year...

    Control is must, though I thought it was a lil short, and assassin's creed odyssey, as you mentioned, also a winner.

    Breakpoint, despite some annoying bugs...

    Not to mention a whole host of stuff from game pass(currently digging Steamworld dig2)

    Shadow Complex was the one that I most enjoyed. I admittedly have not played many of the Metroidvania games, but Shadow Complex was tons of fun. I am going to give Bloodstained a try, and Steamworld Dig 2 will likely be given a chance.

    I am currently playing Dust, An Elysian Tale, and it is pretty fun. If I can find more like that I could be a happy gamer.
