    when i run an xbox live connection test i receive status report service alert with ID line FFFF-FFFF. is this some kind of failure to recognize my identification, and how do i fix?

    Your question regarding not being able to access the digital seasons of X-Files has already been answered in two of your previously locked threads. Here are the threads for reference:


    I will state again that we cannot assist you further with that matter as much as we would like to and that will need to be resolved with customer support.

    Staying on topic with this thread, I recommend rolling back the system update and re-installing the most recent system version:

    1. Press the Guide button on your controller.
    2. Go to settings and select System.
    3. Select Storage.
    4. Enter the following button sequence: X, LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X.
    5. Select the option to roll back all system updates that are installed. The console will restart automatically and then download the updates again.

    I have tried what you suggested already. The only real issue I am experiencing is access to one TV series in my Xbox Movies and TV (the X Files complete seasons 1-10). I recently switched out my old 360 for a "new" 360E, registered it with microsoft
    and removed access on all other devices. I put the old hard drive in the 360 E and have cleared cache, re-downloaded my profile, and the Xbox Movies and TV app, A few times now. No other issues. I only notice the Xbox service alert when I go looking for it,
    but my Xbox Live service is working fine. It really is only accessing my previously purchased media. I appreciate your help.

    Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having trouble when running an Xbox One Network Connection test. I would recommend you first fully power down the console and the network equipment and then unplug
    them from the power source. Once unplugged allow them to fully power down for at least 5 minutes. Once the time has passed go ahead and power up your router/modem first. After it is fully back up and running turn the console on and try the test again. Let
    us know with a reply how it goes.

    Note: Wait the full five minutes to allow for equipment reset.

    Thanks for updating us with your reply! Sorry to hear that you're getting this strange error when attempting to connect your console to Xbox Live. Our services seem to be up and running (Xbox
    Live Status
    ) at the moment, so let's try some further troubleshooting to see if it alleviates the situation.

    Since you've already tried cycling your router and your console, let's attempt to clear out the cache on your 360 and give the network connection another try.

    How to clear the cache on Xbox 360

    If the issue persists, try this:

    1. Press the Guidebutton on your controller, select
      Settings, and select System Settings.
    2. Select Network Settings.
    3. Select Wired Networkor the name of your wireless network when the network list is displayed.
    4. Select Configure Network.
    5. On the Additional Settingstab, select
      Restore to Factory Defaults. When prompted, select
      Yes, Restore to Factory Defaults.

    NoteThis resets the console's network settings only, and not other settings.

    1. Turn off your console.
    2. Turn on your console.

      Wireless only: You will receive a message to configure wireless settings. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your wireless network.
    3. Now Test your Xbox Live Connection
