Status Code Xbox Live Connection Error

When I try to connect to xbox live it says "the dns server cannot resolve xbox live server names" Here is the status code it gives

W: 0000 - 000B

X: 0000 - F009

Y: 0000 - 0000

Z: 8015 - 1903

ID 0002 - 0000

L: 8015 - 1901

Q: 8007 - 0435

T: Wired

A: ( IP ADDRESS) / (SUBNET MASK)

G: ( DEFAULT GATEWAY)

D: (DNS)

Issue Buying BC Game Directly From XB1: L4D2

So I'm having trouble buying Stick Of Truth from the XB1 store on the console. I know you're supposed to be able to click show price and then go through the steps on buying it directly from the console. However, for some strange reason when I click show price, it brings up an error and tells me something like "you are unable to buy this game from the xbox one at this time. Please buy from the xbox 360 store" then it gives an error code. I've had no issues buying other games directly from the XB1. What's going on with this one?Click to expand...

Quick question, well two really. What was the error code? Did you ask google what the error code meant?

Also, if the xbox is having status issues that can cause stupid error codes to drop. Usually though once you google the code you'll know what the issue is, and if the issue isn't related to the internet, i'd still hit up status page for xbox just to make sure.

Which i'll do before i hit post. Xbox Live Service Status | Xbox Live Service Outage seems everything is normal right now, so hit us up with the error code, i'd try again though.

I have the same issue... What a disappointment from Microsoft - nowhere on the internet is there a clearly defined solution - just referrals to endless people having the same problem. One can easily see why defections to other entertainment consoles is on
the increase - doing things in a legitimate manner has headaches that are unwarrante - Do your work Microsoft!

Hi Guys the DNS service is a related issues with your console connecting to the router/modem this isn't your xbox causing the issues its the router. here is a few things you can do...

on xbox one go to network and go offline power down the console and refresh your modem and router allow it to shut down for about 5 mins then refresh reconnect and then it should resolved the issue

on xbox 360 restore the factory default by going to settings, network, click on network then click on configure network to additional setting to restore factory default once there shut down the xbox and powercycle the router and modem same thing 5 mins once
done reconnect to your network pop into your wifi code and that should resolve the issue as well if it doesn't then call your isp provider and have them reset the modem and router... if you do this make sure the xbox is offline the network so it can refresh

think of it this way if you take your xbox to another location your xbox will be able to connect fine... its something within the router that is not interpreting the signal right its not a bad thing just needs to be refresh I get it on my network at least
once a week. just refresh and its resolved... remember your xbox is like your car it doesn't run unless you give it gas if the gas is bad do you blame the car?

Solutions

Check for service alerts on the Xbox Live Status page, or see if an Xbox Live service alert appears at the top of this page. If there are any service alerts, wait a while and then try again.

In the connection status are you connected to the internet?

Check this first and then if this is good you should attempt a power cyclr or switch your modem off and on again.

As you say this error code should be able to lookup here. Is there any other error that is shown?

Are you getting an error code? I'm getting the following error code: "80150101". I've also checked the Xbox Live service status page and Xbox Live and Zune are having connection difficulties. If that's the error code you're having, just sit tight and it
should be fixed soon. Hope that helps!

I have looked up the error code you supplied in your post and I have found the following solution:

Error 80151911 occurs when connecting to Xbox Live on your Xbox 360

You see the following error code and message when you try to connect to Xbox Live:

Can't connect to Xbox Live. Please try again later

Status code: 80151911

This may mean one of the following:

There's a temporary problem with the Xbox Live service.

There’s a problem with your network set up.

The files on a storage device are corrupted.

Solutions

Solution 1: Check the Xbox Live service status

Go to the Xbox Live status page to see whether the service is up and running. If there are any service alerts, wait a while and then try again.

Solution 2: Troubleshoot your connection to Xbox Live.

Run the Xbox Live Connection Test. Here's how:

1. Press the guide button on your controller.

2. Select Settings, System Settings and then Network Settings.

3. Select the name of your Wireless Network, or select Wired Network for a wired connection.
