    Be sure to check the Xbox Live status report at the top of the page. It appears that there is a problem with Live at the moment and I suggest waiting it out until it's fixed. "Users will experience issues when attempting to purchase content and Microsoft
    Points, creating new accounts, or attempting to manage existing accounts. Additionally, Users will be unable to sign into Xbox LIVE using the Games for Windows PC desktop client only." Here's where you can find more information:

    The billing site does indeed seem to be under some sort of maintenance, but this has absolutely nothing to do with buying a new XBOX as this error code has reports from all the way back in December of 2011. I suggest trying again in 24 hours, if you still
    can't access the billing site try to contact your local phone support for your region.

    I'm having the same problem.... I'm trying to put a credit card on my account so I can buy a membership but it gives me the status code 838200C8.... its actually a debit card but that doesn't matter... I've used a debit card to purchase something from xbox
    before. This must be a new problem. Please fix this fast, xbox! (From U.S.)
