Status Code: 416B-0000-0080-0300-8007-0070

Hello all!

As of the last update (not the current one), we have been unable to access Xbox Live. We receive the Status Code: 416B-0000-0080-0300-8007-0070 to which there is no solution on the Xbox 360 support page. A search for the status code yields no results.
To which I believe is strange that the xbox would have a status code with no help.

We have:

power cycled the router/modem.

Reset the settings on the network connection on the xbox.

Removed anything that might potentially be blocking the signal from the wireless modem to the xbox.

Moved the modem closer to the xbox

Nothing has helped so far. I am thinking about completing the current update via flash drive or cd to see if that might help.

Thank you for any help you have in this matter! We miss playing the xbox and are frustrated with this.

Hey there Photo! That definitely sounds like it could be a frustrating situation. Let's see what we can do to get things sorted.

To start off, I suggest trying one of the alternate ways to get the latest update (check out our
How to Get a New Xbox 360 Update support article for tips on how). Once you have the latest update installed, try connecting to Xbox Live again and let us know what the results are.

I've got the same issuing coming up. I've tried doing the update the USB way, but it doesn't work.

Before applying the update from the flash it might be a good idea to first delete the previous update (current system update might be corrupt)

Go to settings>system>storage press LB RB X LB RB X and select yes.

then try to update from the USB flash

I have tried all the suggestions also and still get nothing but 416b-0000-0080-0300-8007-0070 and of course it will not let me connect to xbox live when running the test both wired and wireless.

I am having the same issue with my nephews account. I have been trying to do a system update for an Xbox 360 E 4GB console. I have received several errors they are the following: 416B-0000-0080-0300-8007-0070, 416B-0000-0080-00300-8007-04SD,416B-0000-0080-0300-8007-2751
and the most current 416B-4174-1900-267F-C000-0185 (which was a clean CD error which was that step was taken and still wouldn't update the console.) I have burned the file to CD and received the following code C000-0185 and USB states the file is too large.
I know I am not having internet issues because I have two other older consoles which both are connected to live right now. The USB drive is a 16GB Sandisk (non xbox 360 brand.)
