Stats Reset when host migrates

Ive grown accustomed to this game being very laggy (due to my location in asia), however, I saw a first today. I was finally doing ok(by my standards) and felt like I was enjoying a lag free match, then about 5 minutes into the match, the host migrates and
I wind up with a 0-0-0 record. After which time, I go 0-6 and appear to be running the normal .25-.5 second behind everyone.

Anyone else ever have your in match stats reset by a host migration?

I thought when the host quites the game migrates to a new host.

Host migration failures + match loss

Being a bit of a stat fanatic, it drives me crazy that Call of Duty games give you a loss if the game ends prematurely due to the host leaving followed by a failure to connect to a new host. It's bad enough that I get paired up with bad teammates most of the time; I can't even pull a positive win/loss because of that, and other times I do *too* well and make the host quit. I'd say the real problem lies with the faulty host migration system, but I still say I shouldn't get a loss if it ends the game. My idea is that all XP/challenges/what-have-you should be recorded, but you shouldn't get a win nor a loss if it happens. I don't have how this community feels about stats, so you might find it to be a non-issue, but it's frustrated me more than I can quantify.

At least there are host migrations nowadays as the game used to end or send everyone back to the lobby when there was a bad host connection in not so distant past CoDs. Its only one game of stats. no biggy, eh?

It's hard to believe that there's still an exploit in this day and age when a host quits. I think it's coded in a way that the host sends the final stats to the server and it doesn't create a cache of the current stats up to the point a host migration
failed. But if it shows the stats of the incomplete game on Halo Waypoint, why would they not be able to count the stats as stated on the site? They have the tools to fix the problem, yet they're either oblivious to it or lazy, or actually sympathize with
a host that isn't doing well (or has to take a dump or whatever real life excuse they can come up with that somehow is more common as opposed to when they're performing poorly.)

Actually Mass Effect multi resets the wave as well when there is a host migration

^^Im not sure. I dont think anybody "backs out" or leaves matches. They usually dashboard for a reason and that reason is NOT to avoid a LOSS as they will get that regardless. They dashboard to avoid the "bad" stats. I would think its safe to say that 99%
of people that leave do it through dashboarding. I dont think a migration occurs even if the host "backs out". I think if the host leaves in ANY fashion, the game ends. Migrations are only when the game finds a better host in game. Maybe other people leaving
can influence a migration, but not the host. Im not 100%, just an uneducated guess, LOL.
