Static When Amazon Prime Video Opens

I have tried everything you suggested above (plugged the TV directly into the wall and uninstalled the apps and installed them on the internal drive), but I still get the cycle of a static and normal screen. I have literally changed nothing in my setup
that has worked since I got my Day One Xbox One so long ago. I have the exact same TV, stereo receiver and HDMI cables. I can play games with no issues. It is only when I try to watch movies or television that I have a problem.

To be more specific, it is when I try to use the Amazon Prime video app or Netflix that I have a problem. All other apps seem to work fine. This problem has arisen spontaneously because I have not changed anything in my setup. To further troubleshoot
this, I have tried other HDMI cables to no avail.

Thank you for the update on this issue. We want to make sure that your TV is plugged directly into a wall outlet and that you're not using a surge protector or power strip. Also, if you're using an external drive, we recommend moving the apps to your internal

I have tried your suggestions with no positive results. I can play games for hours and watch live broadcasts with the ESPN app. I can use PLEX with no issue. However, within 10 seconds of starting up the Netflix or Amazon Prime video apps, I get this
static cycle which will not stop even if I close the app. I have to do a soft reboot of the Xbox before it will go away. To be honest, this is becoming very frustrating as I have used my Xbox as the centerpiece of my entertainment center in my living room.
Now, 2/3 of my entertainment is unavailable to be due to this bug.

full minutes, and try again. We also suggest making sure that you're using the HDMI cord that came with the console to avoid any issues with the picture. These guidelines should help. Thank you.

We have split this from the
original post in order to further assist with the latest information available.

We suggest (if it hasn't already been done) to reset the console since
the problem might be on the actual OS of the console so we would suggest a
Soft Factory Reset (while keeping games and apps) IF AND ONLY IF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA IS MET:

• There is a stable network connection.
• The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)

Once the setup is complete it will ask if we want to keep settings or manual setup lets do manual setup. Give it a shot and let us know of any changes!

Thank you for that information. This sounds like it could be a preview issue. If your console is listed for preview updates, we recommend
reporting the issue through the console so it can be addressed in future updates. We want to remind users that the Xbox Insider program is an optional feature and opting into this program can come with unforeseen
