    Nah, it seems the same issue occurs with the WiiU pugged in, it's just harder to identify due to the poor audio quality of the setup.

    Not sure if it could be heard on a crappy iPhone video, and I don't think I can "Xbox Record That" whatever signal is coming through HDMI In.

    The "static" (which sound like some micro sound skipping) isn't excatly super noisy (but can definitively be heard on voices, albeit randomly).

    Since the static noise occur with both the apple TV and the Wii U, I recommend sending the Xbox One in for repair. If you decide to go that route, you can start the process by contacting our chat of phone support agents through our

    Tried a bunch of stuff this morning.

    Basically tried pretty much every setting I could find in the Bone settings menu.

    One thing I can confirm, issue appears in both HDMI sound and optical out (TOSLINK).

    Issue also seems to appear after a random amount of time. It does not appear right away.

    Changing video or audio settings seems to delay the issue's appearance (yet again).

    It REALLY looks like something is not working properly on the software side.

    I can't easily plug another device to test if the issue persist. I'm fairly certain it would though. Some time ago I got a WiiU plugged that way and I got heavy static issues at the time. It looks like you fixed it to some extent in a later update, but did
    not manage to eradicate the problem entirely.

    I'm not enlisted to the preview program. I was a few months ago though.

    I get the same thing occasionally with my Humax HD FOX T2 Freeview HD set top box in the UK.

    Its a fairly recent issue, there haven't been any software updates on my Freeview box, so therefore must assume that its something in Xbox that has changed.

    Sorry to hear about the static issue! Let's start with a power cycle and see if the issue persists. For a full power cycle, follow the steps below:

    • Press and hold the power button on the Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
    • Once the unit is powered off, unplug the power cable and the HDMI cables from the Xbox One console and let it sit for 5 minutes.
    • Plug the power back into the unit and power the console on.
