Discus and support static shock fried the eject? in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Went to eject a game from xbox one and when I pushed the eject button a static electric spark snapped my finger and the button and/or eject mechanism...     static shock fried the eject?


    Went to eject a game from xbox one and when I pushed the eject button a static electric spark snapped my finger and the button and/or eject mechanism no longer works. Had to manually eject the disc from the hole on the side and now the console will not
    load and start a new disc and the touch function of the eject won't respond.

    Elite controller giving static shock

    Bought from game in UK. And the paddles are of a metal alloy material by the looks of it. It don't do it with batteries in just with the lead. The only thing I could think of is as they lock in with magnets n having a constant charge that they are storing
    and conducting static with the constant bashing . Would be nice if there was hard plastic

    Well this is a new one lol....... Cool feature, you die in game and get shocked lol.

    Hi

    Can you please try removing the power cable from the wall outlet for five minutes then try connecting everything back up and see if this helps with your problem.

    I left the machine unplugged for over 12 hours and no change... When I insert a disc, it feeds in fine but will not play or even register that a disc has been inserted. I then have to power everything off and manually eject the disc. This machine has never
    had a problem until yesterday with the static shock.

    Any more ideas?

    You could try following the
    suggestions here     to see if any of these resolve your problem but unfortunately I suspect you may need to send your console for repair. You should be able to arrange the repair using
    this link if required.

    Is there anyway to eject a disc from the Homescreen?

    Actually, the only reason I would like remote eject is to avoid shocks. As of right now because of cold weather, static electricity in the house increases which in turns increases the risk of shock damage to the Xbox one. Has nothing to do with being lazy
    just prefer not to touch the xbox.
