Static on XBOX Party chat.

This is so annoying, its only a problem with XBOX. On all other voice streaming apps (Discord, etc.) I don't have a problem with it. My friends always say they can hear a static sound when I'm in a party with them, this isnt the case with other apps though. how tf do i fix it. i cant find anything on here that says how to fix it, can someone PLEASE help me. its so annoying and its really bothering me.

On the Xbox, go into Settings > General > Volume & audio output. Under Audio Output select Optical Audio and choose Stereo uncompressed.

If your issue doesn't get better, try the following:

Power Cycle your Xbox:

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Wait for 5 minutes and then turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

Update your Xbox One controller with your headset adapter attached:

UPDATE: It would actually appear that the experience doesn't yield my voice echoing but it causes echoing for the other game or party chat members. The game or party chat members also hear clicking and distorted/static sounds.

However, I cannot hear the echoing only the people in party and game chat hear themselves, only the clicking/static sounds.

* Is this what others are experiencing?

I have tested with both a USB cable (not the play and charge), a 10 foot USB cable from BestBuy and double A batteries. The test also yields the same experience.

I've read that others are having issues with the same static, clicking sounds I am hearing with Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapters.

Interested in some feedback on fixing or resolving. Can I get a replacement Stereo Headset Adapter?

Hi,

Issues with party chats may occur due to a network connection error. There is also a possibility that your headset is incompatible with the app. To properly isolate our concern, please clarify the following information:

Are you using an Xbox Chat Headset?
Have you made any changes to your network configuration prior to the issue?
Have you tried to restart your router and your computer?
Does the same issue occur on your other apps?

Hi,

A corrupted data may cause your Xbox App Party Chat to have a loud static sound. Here are steps on how to uninstall and reinstall Xbox app:

1. Click Start, and then type Windows PowerShell on the search box.

2. Right-click, and then select Run as administrator.

3. Type the following command to uninstall Xbox app: Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage

4. Hit Enter.

Launch Windows Store and download Xbox App.

Let us know how it turns out.

Same issues persist after uninstall/reinstall

If I have discord, and Battle.net open would this be a cause?
