To use the display troubleshooter, follow these steps:

    1. Check the current resolution setting on your TV.
    2. Set the resolution to 1080p if your TV supports this resolution. If your TV only supports 720p or 1080i, set your TV to 720p. Then, on your console, select the matching resolution on the
      Change your display screen.
    3. If your resolution is set to Auto Detect, select 1080p from the
Change your display screen on your console.
Note For more information about TV resolutions, see

About TV resolutions and Xbox One
    .

If the screen changes to full size, you've selected the right resolution. To keep this setting, select
Keep display at (resolution). This option will close the display troubleshooter and return you to the setup process.

Note It's possible that your console thinks your TV is receiving a DVI connection instead of an HDMI connection. You won't have sound if your console is in DVI mode, so you won't be able
to calibrate your Kinect's microphones during setup. When you reach the Home screen for the first time, you can adjust the display settings and calibrate your Kinect.

To change the display settings on the Home screen to re-enable HDMI:

    1. Press the Xbox button
      to open the guide.
    2. Select System.
    3. Select Settings.
    4. Select Display and Sound.
    5. Select Video output.
    6. Select Advanced video settings.
    7. Select TV connection, which should be defaulted to Auto-detect, and then press the
      A button and select
      HDMI.
    For more information, see
How to adjust the display settings on your Xbox One console
    .

After you adjust the sound settings, you can set up your Kinect sensor. For more information, see

Tips for setting up your Kinect with Xbox One
    .

Note If you've done this on an Xbox One X or Xbox One S with an older TV, but you later switch to a 4K TV, make sure to switch
TV connection back to Auto-detect. 4K isn't available when it's set to
    HDMI.

If you've changed your TV resolution and your screen turns black or doesn't look correct, wait 10 seconds and the screen will return to the 480p setting. Select
    Try a different resolution.

After you select Try a different resolution, you'll return to the
Change your display screen. There, you can try the remaining resolution option.

If neither 720p nor 1080p work with your TV, select
    None of these work.

At this point, you can continue with setup using the 480p resolution, though it's not optimal, or you can select a different TV to connect to your Xbox One.

Xbox static boot up screen and green with streaming Videos.

You know the little short video that plays on an xbox one x before the xbox green screen logo? Thats when its static/snowy. Then it shows the normal xbox logo. When trying to use any video streaming app is when all i see is green screen with audio.

I tried what you suggested, it went to 680x680 like you said but it only dispayed the static/snowy screen in lower quality and still experienced the green screen with audio only on netflix and hulu.
