    Static noise on wired headphones


    When using my headset Marshall Major 3 with the series X controller there is very annoying static noise from the moment I start a game.

    I heard that this should have been fixed already but for me it isn't

    The workaround with turning up the headphone volume does work perfectly but that can't be the long term solution i guess..

    Has anyone more inside into it or is also still experiencing the same issues?

    I would also suggest cleaning the headphone jack with some rubbing alcohol. Dust is also a main culprit in causing humming and static noises. Also check the port on your PC/Laptop

    Hi, I have the same problem as laser it seems or similar , I'm using a scuf controller and I'm trying to play wired and when i plug it into the controller with or without the batteries a constant static noise is present. Without the usb connected theres
    no static noise when the batteries are in but i want to play with wired. The headset I'm using is the turtle beach headsets x12's through the headset adaptor.

    I don't know what to do, any suggestions or solutions ?

    Hello, if the headphones work fine with other devices, then the problem is not with the headphones. If you have had the same problem with previous Xbox consoles, then the problem may be with the console settings or with the console hardware.

    Changing your age on your Microsoft account should have nothing to do with the microphone issue.

    The static noise you notice when microphone monitoring is on may be an indicator of an issue with the console's hardware.
