    Static IP Problem


    Hello,

    I have a problem with getting static IP on my xbox one.

    I go to settings, then IP and going to manual. I am typing IP, Subnet Mask ans after typing Default Gateway I cant`t go further, nothing happens.

    I tried to bind IP by the MAC adress, but it doesn`t work, when I do that, I am losing connection.

    It is very frustrating for that simple thing.

    I have a router but I have no idea about how to assign a static IP address. Do you do it through the router or through the Xbox One?

    If you have a router, give the xbox one a static IP address, make sure it's 'doled' out by it's MAC address.

    Do that and if it's still giving you problems like that, toss that static IP on a DMZ.

    Hey there!

    That might mean you're not putting in the right Default Gateway because when I went to check it, it asked me for manual DNS settings right after putting in the Gateway. Is this something you've set up before? Is there a specific reason that the console needs
    an manual IP address, that might help us figure out what's causing this to happen. Let us know!

    I did and the problem still exist ,I don’t know if this problem caused by dynamic ip and should I have static ip from isp ,whatever I tried to get static up from isp and they told we can’t give you static ip !!
    No, the static IP from ISP depends on the provider (which many times offers it for a fee). Rather, you should try setting up a static IP on the console and using google DNS (eg 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).

    Another place that I posted my problem. someone suggested setting it to a Static IP. That is the only place where I saw the Static IP. I never saw it in the 360 Network Settings before.
