    Static Ip Address Problem

First off im no internet expert. I just looked up online and tried to solve my problem as best i could. But i am stumped on this and looking for a little help.

I set up static ip address for my xbox one console through my xfinity router:

I also set up a static ip address for my xbox one:

Everything works great and i have an open nat until i shut my console down or restart my router.

When i turn the xbox back on after a power down i can't connect to the internet and have to re enter my static ip address every time. it won't save for some reason.

It gives me this sort of ip address [View:http://puu.sh/7y9nf.jpg:550:0]

and i have no idea what to do.

    :)

I have a router but I have no idea about how to assign a static IP address. Do you do it through the router or through the Xbox One?

If you have a router, give the xbox one a static IP address, make sure it's 'doled' out by it's MAC address.

Do that and if it's still giving you problems like that, toss that static IP on a DMZ.

    Static Ip Address Problem

Switch your Xbox One back to DHCP. Then configure your router to reserve an IP for your Xbox One (see the "add device with reserved IP" button in your first screenshot). When you reserve an IP on your router, it will always hand out that same reserved
IP to the Xbox via DHCP. There is no need to configure a static IP on the Xbox (as you have found, there appears to be a bug with that). Forward the following ports to the reserved IP (assuming your router does not have a good, working UPnP implementation)
    :

    88 UDP

    3074 TCP and UDP

and if you have COD Ghosts, also:

    3075 TCP and UDP

    3076 TCP and UDP

    Static Ip Address Problem

Same problem here. Console changes my stored static IP to a specific incorrect one every time it is powered down. So it's not just my system, but a bug that will hopefully be fixed in a future update?
