    Static / flickering screen when I use video apps on Xbox One X


    Yesterday, I booted up the Hulu app on my Xbox One X. The system had been on the home screen for awhile and when I launched it, the screen immediately began to display frames of static interlaced with the entire screen blinking off and on. So I did a hard
    boot of the system...it booted to the home screen with no video errors...and I tried again. The same thing happened.

    So I rebooted it a second time and this time launched a different app (HBO Max). The same thing happened again. Even when I quit the apps, the static and flickering continues once I'm back to the home screen. The only thing that will stop it is a full reboot
    of the console.

    I did a complete reboot yet again and this time I launched my kids' copy of Minecraft...and it worked fine - no flickering or visual problems at all! I tried loading up another game (Halo - The Master Chief Collection) and again, there are no visual issues.
    So the problem only happens on video apps and it does not happen when the console is running games.

    This is extremely strange - It almost seems like the video card is going out....but why would it only happen on streaming apps and not on games, where the demand is so much higher? Any ideas?

    You know the little short video that plays on an xbox one x before the xbox green screen logo? Thats when its static/snowy. Then it shows the normal xbox logo. When trying to use any video streaming app is when all i see is green screen with audio.

    I tried what you suggested, it went to 680x680 like you said but it only dispayed the static/snowy screen in lower quality and still experienced the green screen with audio only on netflix and hulu.

    You talk about going black but have flickering on Topic.

    There was an official Problem with HDR Flickering on that TVs and Xbox but that should be fixed a time ago
    The screen flickers when HDR or HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Colour is on in the TV, after a while of flickering it goes black, then the TV loses the signal from the Xbox. That's
    my problem.

    If I deactivate HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Colour, then there's no more flickering and no more black screen.

    Well it isn't fixed yet, I'm 100% sure I am on the latest firmware on both the LG C9 and the Xbox One X.

    Screen Flickering - Using non 4K TV - Xbox One X

    Hey, having the same problem here. Using Xbox One X. It was working fine for a year and recently started flickering. I have bought a new 4k tv and it's even worse. I bought a new high speed HDMI cable: new set of issues - complete black screen or it flickers
    heavily. Went to test the XBOX on a 3rd tv and it flickers as well. I'd appreciate some help.
